One of my biggest passions in life is to travel...
From a young age, travelling was what we did.
We were fortunate enough to spend a lot of years traveling around our wonderful country of Australia.
Our parents bundled us all into a caravan and we took several 3-4 month long touring trips around the
country. 7 people crammed into an 18 foot caravan for 4 months at a time could sometimes get a little
much, but it was fantastic and I loved it!
I first ventured overseas when I was 21, with an old girlfriend and another friend from school. Wow, it
certainly opened my eyes up, and really kicked started my passion for seeing the world. When I met my
Sharon, I was so happy to find out that she loved to travel too. We have been traveling the world
together for over 7 years now, and seen such places as;
New Zealand, Thailand, Malaysia, Tahiti, The Cook Islands, Singapore, America, Canada, South Africa,
France, Italy, Germany, Austria, Belgium, The Netherlands, The Czech Republic, Greece, Switzerland,
England, The Dominican Republic, Spain, Monaco and many more.
The world is a wonderful place and we will never stop traveling around and trying to experience all the
different cultures and people that call this world home.
Like most people of my generation, and definitely most people from previous generations, I was taught
from a young age that the thing to do is get an education, find good solid employment and retire at
about 60-65 with, hopefully, a decent pension.
I realised at an early age that this definitely didn’t seem like the ideal way to do things, but none the
less, at 15 years of age, I entered the ‘Rat Race’ most of us call life.
Like a lot of 15 year olds I began working after school and on the weekends. I began working at a very
large, very well known fast food restaurant. Every spare minute I had, I spent flipping burgers and
serving fries. At first it was great, I finally had some money of my own to spend as I pleased.
But soon, something began to bug me. You see, while I was getting paid, it just didn’t seem like I was
getting paid enough. I was spending every spare minute of my time at this place and was barely getting
a 3 figure pay check a week!
This particular restaurant chain makes BILLIONS of dollars every year, yet, after all my sweat and hard
work for them, I was making pittance!
Surely my time was worth more!!
Anyway, following my parents advice, I left the fast food industry behind and went on to get a trade.
After 4 years, I was a fully qualified electrician and was quite well paid indeed. I was earning far more
than a lot of my mates who were chefs, even while I was an apprentice.
Once again, it was great to be earning good money, but I still felt that my time was worth more than
these people were willing to pay me!
It was about this time that I read a book that changed my life. I was lent a copy of Robert
Kiyosaki’s book ‘Rich Dad, Poor Dad’. I can’t tell you how much of a thrill I got when I read this
for the first time. It truly is a wonderful book and I highly recommend that you get yourself a
copy and read it, if you haven’t already!
It really opened my eyes and confirmed to me that what I was feeling was right. There really is a
much better way of getting through life than going to work every single day just to make
somebody else rich!
Now don’t get me wrong. There is absolutely nothing wrong with good solid employment, working
Monday to Friday, 9-5. I did it for years, my parents have done it all of their lives, as have my
grandparents and so do all of my friends.
There is absolutely nothing wrong with it and I know that there are many people out there who would
give an arm and a leg for good, solid employment, especially in the current economic climate.
But I realised one simple fact - I Was Never Going To Get Rich Working For Somebody Else!
Being rich means different things to different people. For me, it means having financial freedom and the
time to enjoy it. Basically, not having to worry about money ever again.
So, I was on a mission. I was full of energy and enthusiasm to find the answer, the way out of the ‘Rat
Race’.
But like so many people who have seen the light, I was soon dragged back into the darkness by my
commitments and everyday life. I still had bills to pay and a job to go to, so pretty soon, my path to a
better life became faded and forgotten.
I spent a few years travelling the world and working in different countries which was great. I then
returned to the Gold Coast and carried on where I left off. It wasn’t all bad though, because this was
when I met my beautiful wife, Sharon.
I spent a few more years working on the skyscrapers of the Gold Coast
as a tradesman where I had completed my apprenticeship, and then went
out west and started working in the mines of outback Queensland.
I was earning extremely good money in the mines, which was great, but the
12 hour days and months at a time away from Sharon still just didn’t seem
It was while I was out west that I began thinking about
‘Rich Dad, Poor Dad’ again.
We both decided that we would love to go and live overseas together for a while and decided that the
UK would be the place. We also decided that we would make our fortune in real estate in the UK. We
had made our minds up and headed off, full of anticipation.
What we hadn’t anticipated was the economic melt down and property crash!
It was just after we realised that property probably wasn’t going to be the answer for us just yet, then I
stumbled onto something that peaked my interest.
It was something called information publishing. I’m sure you’ve heard of it. Selling information products
like ‘how to’ manuals and such, through the mail or on line.
Well I can tell you, I got very excited!
Everything was made to sound so easy! It really was the sort of thing I was looking for; working from
home, not many hours and HUGE rewards for your efforts!
Well, as you can guess, it didn’t quite work out that way...
Now don’t get me wrong here, I’m no fool, and definitely did my due diligence before I jumped in! I did
my research and checked out several different opportunities, then decided on someone who looked like
they were offering the best deal.
You see, the problem with information publishing and most online opportunities like this, is the complete
and total lack of support that comes with it. As soon as you have signed along the dotted line, given
your credit card details and paid your money, you’re forgotten.
They’re no longer interested in you and trying to contact them is all but impossible. You see, they say
that they’ll tell you everything and show you exactly how they do what they do and make the money they
make, but they don’t. They never quite tell you exactly how it’s done. They never quite give you all the
details you need. They never reveal all of their secrets. All you get is a broad description and then get
told to work it out yourself.
Well, when you are starting off in the world of online business, this is far from what you need. You really
need someone there to hold your hand and help you out when you’re stuck. Now I’m not lazy, and
definitely not afraid of hard work, but when you have no idea or clue how to go about something, no
amount of hard work is going to help!
I needed the guidance and assistance of someone who had been there and done it! I was so frustrated.
You see, information publishing is a wonderful business and a sound business model, it’s just a shame
that the support is not there.
None the less, I gave it a shot anyway. After months of work sourcing products, re-branding them and
getting them printed, getting websites up and running and paying through the nose for advertising, how
do you think I went?
A grand total of 2 sales! That’s right, TWO!
Suffice to say I still have a cupboard FULL of products. Anyone want one??
It was after I realised that this wasn’t going to work out, that I started looking around for other
opportunities. You see, I was disappointed, but definitely not disillusioned.
I knew that there was definitely more out there than Monday to Friday 9-5, and I was determined to find
what I was looking for.
It was then, after hours of Google searching, that I stumbled across a very interesting site. A site that
peaked my interest straight away.
At first, it seemed like someone had been listening to what I was saying and came up with this
opportunity especially for me. All the support and training I could ever need, direct contact with the
person on the website, a turn-key business in a box with a proven track record!
Of coarse the alarm bells started ringing immediately! Hang on a minute there nick. If it sounds too
good to be true, it probably is.
Well, I must say that I was more than a little cautious, especially after my last foray into online
business.
And so, I spent a good few months researching this particular opportunity, all the while continuing to live
my life in the rat race! I believe it was nearly 6 months after I first came across it, until I finally picked
up the phone and actually called the person who would go on and become my mentor!
Was it everything it was cracked up to be?
Well, in a word - YES! And then some.
I have to say that it was one of the best decisions of my life! Finally I had found something that actually
did everything it claimed to do and more. But it wasn’t just the business system (as great as it is), it was
the help and support that I received from my mentor that really made the difference!
Any time I needed help or had a question I needed an answer to, he was there to help me out. I called
him, emailed him, and chatted with him on Skype. And any time he wasn’t available, he would always
get back to me.
What a breath of fresh air!
Well everything for us is on the up and up. It really was a great decision and one that I definitely don’t
regret!
Sharon and I are both excited about the future and are looking forward with anticipation at where this
business will take us! We are members of the top producing group in our business and couldn’t be
happier with all the support and help we have received from not only our mentor, but the group as a
whole.
Helping other people succeed really is the way to achieve success for yourself! This is something that I
have learned since joining with this wonderful group of driven, ambitious people!
It’s something that I hope I can share with you too.
I am also available to be your mentor if you would like. I know that if it wasn't for mentors in my life I
would not be where I am today. Anyone can show you how to sign on the dotted line or buy this or buy
that, but if you're looking for a genuine mentor or coach who will support you in your new business,
please give me a call. I'd be honoured to help you in this incredible journey.
What I have done is set up my business to be as Passive as possible. Now my business isn't 100%
passive, but I have built it so that I only deal with individuals that have an interest in a product or
opportunity that I'm involved in.
I don't chase people or hound my friends and family or anyone else for that matter. I don't have to "cold
call" lists of leads for hours upon hours. By setting up these systems those that come to me already
know a little about me and understand that I am a real person and am serious about their success and
business.
The beauty of all of this is that now I only speak to those who want to speak to me. How refreshing!
Well I won’t take up any more of your valuable time! Thanks for taking the time to visit my site and learn
a little bit more about me and what I do. I hope you take an active interest in the business that I am so
passionate about. I really do believe that it can change your life for the better as it has mine.
